The NDIS turns Disability Services upside down.

Adult students studying together

The disability services sector is experiencing some amazing changes. The client now has greater choice over the services they use and the way those services are delivered. They can be their own employer. The next wave of community workers will need to become sole traders with skills in community Services, small business and marketing.

The team at Seeds boast a combined 50 years experience in the delivery and management of community services. We are now preparing the next generation of community workers with a special brand of education delivered face to face in Maitland. With a focus on the individual and working in small groups, learners get first-hand knowledge in the skills of counselling, case work, community work and small business management.

All the trainers have completed Masters Qualifications in the Social Sciences ensuring that students gain the required skills and knowledge to meet the changing needs of the community sector. It is the personal care and attention to our learners that ensures that students have the best chance of success. Students are given more attention in smaller groups as well as individual career counselling to assist with any personal issues. Our community sector knowledge and relationships will give students the opportunity for over 100 hours of first-hand experience. We want to share some of the knowledge and skills we have gained with our learners.
